Whoops-a-daisy
Aug. 8th, 2012 12:49 amI'm curiously clumsy at the moment. I'm finding myself falling a lot at training in ways I never used to. I was blaming a combination of trying maybe a bit too hard and needing to tweak my skates but I fell while not in skates at the start of training this evening. I was running and dodging at the time but in the same way as I tend ot fall on skates I found that I was just off balance and already tucking into a roll so as not to hurt myself. It doesn't feel like an inner ear thing, just my body not acting as expected. I do wonder if it's not the result of more leg muscle and less upper body muscle finally resulting in enough of a centre of mass shift to make a mess of reflexes that I've learned over a lifetime. I may need to spend some time just running around and throwing myself about. The weather is about to turn so random gymnastics in the park just might happen. OF course if something else is amiss I'll need to stay on top of it, so I should try to keep a reasonably critical eye on it.
