This time of year, more than any other, makes me miss aspects of my old life. There was a form to this part of the year that was something I valued greatly. I haven't put the pieces for this back together yet and I don't have the wherwithal this year. The plan I had involves much maintainence of neutral facial expressions and biting of tongues and I didn't succeed last year. I very much doubt I'd do any better this year.

A resounding bah humbug to the whole exercise. There has to be someone out there who's not playing Christmas tomorrow. If there isn't then I'll amuse myself or at least do my best to be comfortable.

I'm not sure if things are the same over there, but in America a meal out at a Chinese restaurant and a movie are very traditional for people who are not otherwise celebrating Christmas. It is my favorite Christmas tradition in that I haven't had it go very wrong. :-)

Despite working from 10am-6pm Christmas was a bit 'meh' for me. Too much anxiety and expectation.
