A pox upon Murphy
I'm not best pleased right now. I had, overall a really nice Christmas. Mum and Mike were here as was the lovely ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
montjoye and of course doushkasmum. A fine smattering of loot and conversation. Unfortunately, the cough that saw me cadge a lift home with sjkasabi last night has settled in my chest for the long haul and I have very reluctantly decided that hiking for 6 days from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair in this state would be a profoundly dumb thing. It's the sensible thing to do. I don't particularly want to be sensible, damn it. But I am. My plane ticket is cancelled, my bag shall remain unpacked and I shall sleep and drink water (and see the doctor tomorrow).
