A start.

Well I've been saying I should start running and I guess that was a start. Of sorts. I got about 2km through the 3½km I'd set for myself as a walk/run circuit when muscles in my thighs which I apparently don't use much for cycling got the the stage where it was clear that if I eased off, they'd be a bit sore tomorrow and then bounce back better than ever but if I persisted I'd likely regret it. Oh well. More of this and I'll go further and faster. I believe that's how this works.

I can very much reccomend the Couch to 5km program as a way to gradually build up distance. http://www.c25k.com/c25k_metric.html Start at whatever point you feel you are at now and work up. It worked for me 8->

I too am trying to get into some kind of fitness regime, however unlike you I only engage in pilates once a week for 1hr and don't cycle and haven't started running O.o

I think I need motivation or a push.

Cycle cycle cycle

Cannot imagine running. Hiking and walking, sure ... count steps and do 10,000/day to burn calories ... but cycling is still my ace. *hugs*

Oh I still adore cycling but there's nothing like running for burning calories and building cardio fitness.
